Doesnt record video or take photo

My phone is an iPhone 6+ running 10.0.2.

After trying out the Lite version of the app, I thought it was good enough to pay the $1.99. So far that was a complete fail. So far I have not been able to take one photo or video with the Pro app. Complete fail. Also tapping the bottom of the screen is hit or miss to reveal the controls. Mostly miss. I usually have to quit and restart to get the controls back. When I tap to record, I have every indication that it is recording. When I stop, nothing happens. No video is saved in the app or my photo library. So what is it doing exactly?!!!
A full refund is in order.
